Has anyone else noticed the drop in posts on the 151 pages on the 503? Some of the posts that are on there have gotten very inaccurate, for lack of a better term.

i have. seems like the more active and truly passionate ones have migrated over here. I guess most of us still check it, but I for one have not posted anything there since the fiasco. {not that i am a tech wizard or anything- i still get my oil changed my a mechanic- hey i was a 20 year old pilot with great crewchiefs and gunners so i was spoiled too early in my od machine love affairs to change later in life}. The g 503 has defineately calmed down though with fewer posts.
This site and the new members who have picked up the slack have made the difference. We all have just moved on: better, friendlier, and much more relaxing {thanks moose}.
Towards the end of my experience on the 503, i almost dreaded checking it out, knowing more and more conflicts would be raised. The insults launched at my buddy hummerkiller Bleddyn, and his kids and family were a wake up call early on and that could all have been settled with some true moderating. The growing arrogance {locked postings by the owner} and policing {by the moderator, whom the owner has later admitted he was directing personally} just made it worse for me. It was becoming insulting. All in all, it seems a shame, it was all there. But as I am not a three year old {my wife may think so but she's french and 20 years younger.....so what does she really know?} and don't like being treated that way.
i have found a new place to hang out. Even being demoted back to an E-1 didn't bother me that much. I went thru OCS once and will do it again!

Well rickf, it would seem under those conditions, he wouldn't need to
go to France very often, but what do I know. :)

toptiger, we have shared sentiments of the other site, almost to the
letter since this all took place. I'd go through OD withdrawl if not for
the G838. Would seem most of the personalities made the trip, with
very few exceptions. I've had little reason to use the search feature
here, but as time passes, the information needed will be stored here
in the archives. It does amaze me what a few deleted posts, ignored
requests, and lack of few apologies can bring down. As for the
demotion, it was painless.

A good friend of mine (that owns a righteous TOW MUTT) finally signed up here (Irv). He was going to sign up elsewhere, but never did. He should post pretty soon. I will try to go over to his place and snap a few and post them. I must say, it looks GOOD .
This is a very comfortable site. Easy, friendly and MUTTS. There might not be the information database that is elsewhere, but give it time. There's enough knowledge out there, it'll drizzle down.

If anyone needs anything near Boise, Idaho, let me know.

Hey there rainman, glad to see you here too. And, you will kindly note that i NOW outrank you by one pay grade so a little respect is needed. My m151 is really bigger than yours, too!
wonder what an e-1 earns today. back in basic in 65 it was $94.00 take home as i recall.
a freshly minted 01 took home $301.00, made it worth all the BS in OCS.

Ya know, I had a complaint with a posting on another site (not another MV site). I went to their moderators and voiced my concern about the blatant violation of their own rules, and them not doing anything about it. I never even got so much as a reply!!
WE are off to a great start. Keep the info going/coming.
I am curious though, how many guys have switched and used their same sign-in name?

Hey toptiger,

I never made it to hard stripe E-5,only an "Acting Jack" for my
last 6 months, so I'm used to being outranked. Do you really
think we ought to be talking about the size of our "WILLY's"
in here? 8) Ya know, I don't mean to brag, but my A2 tows
an M101!

I didn't see the flame post against B.A., but did a moderator
actually move that post as opposed to removing it? JMHO,
but it sounds a little like "misguided effort" to me.

The moderator did not move the post. Another member started another post in regards to it in the general section.

Apparently now only the first page is there, the rest has all been deleted. I read the original comments, and they are all gone now.

Does that surprise you? It was alright for the troll to do the insulting but when you insult the troll you go Bye-Bye. Or better yet, when you question a mod about adding something to your post! I am not done with that yet, I will be sending Ron an e-mail about the mods behaviour. I realize that the mod is a personal friend of his and I am sure I will not get a reply but at least I will have tried. I might even get banned from the Gee. Damn Trolls.

On edit, I went back and reread the post on the Gee and It was cut off right at the point of where Doc Roberts came on and started his sh**. I think that was actually a very good call by the mod's. :D I guess I should do my research before I come down on them from now on. This could be the start of a weeding out of the troublemakers. I can think of four people who exist on these forums only to start trouble and discord.
