That was a major problem with the parts that came from Fla. tactical that I got years ago and I ended up cutting and pasting one out of three. Those panels have to be exact to mate up with the cowl, dash and side panel all together.

Keep up the good work Guy, looking forward the the full side panels. Can't wait to make an order.

Here's a question for the experts. Look at the first picture in the previous post. The bottom edge, with the large holes: part on right has an offset bend, copied from NOS one in the background. Part on left does not. Same as the NOS it was copied from. Why would one side have it and the other doesn't? Did the NOS one that I have miss an operation during fabrication or are they all like this?

Guy, that would be the drivers side, it is as the one I have, seams to be due to the shape of the toe board on that side.

Thanks Dan. Yours appears to match what I have. It doesn't make sense to me why they would be different. As my goal is the duplicate the original parts, I won't worry about it.

The aluminum heat sink is now out of our Machine shop. Not only is this for controlling warpage, it's also a "Go, No-Go" gauge for the forming process and ensures the quality of the part. Part was cut on water jet, then machined to width and the radii of the bends were duplicated for 100% surface contact.

As most people are aware, NY has all non-essential manufacturing shut down. As of this past Friday, CMD is under this order by the Governor. We've filed for a variance but are not sure of the outcome yet. For those of you that need parts, hang in there. Full side panels are in our weld shop and we'll start shipping as soon as we can. Stay safe!

Wow, that is inspiring work right there. Meanwhile, I hope you get some contracts for making widgets for ventilators or something like that.

Cheers,
TJ

Good morning guys. Just wanted to give everyone an update on body panel shipments. We opened back up with a small crew last Thursday. As most of you are aware, manufacturing in NYS (and many others) is only able to work on "essential" manufacturing. Our understanding of this is that we are not even able to ship a "non-essential" part off of the shelf without being in violation. There are fines associated with this and the government is encouraging whistle-blowers. We've been in contact with our attorneys for clarification on these matters. I've had a lot of people wanting parts but at this time, we can not ship. I have a list and will start processing these orders as soon as we are able. With everything going on, I realize that not being able to ship parts is pretty minor but I wanted to keep everyone informed. Stay safe...

Like the government has nothing better to do! I was just on Gov-Planet last night and what are they auctioning off from the government? Respirators!!!!!!!!!!Hundreds of respirators that are desperately needed everywhere up for auction!! And they are bringing BIG money even with three days left. 500.00 plus for 12 respirators! I am talking ordinary 3M half face paint respirators here. I just bought a couple not long ago for 30.00 each. Richie Bros. are total scum for selling these and not just donating them.

Here they are if you want to buy them. It is strange, the prices are lower than they were last night? They were all over 500 lat night.
