Re: CMD Body Panels
Okay people, after running the numbers the price on the full side panel is $495 each. Keep in mind that these are as close to original as possible and very time consuming to make.

Re: CMD Body Panels
Florida Tactical sold them 15 years ago for $300, plus they wouldn't fit, not near the quality as Guys panel, consider ourselves lucky to have access to quality panels and Guy should be commended for spending his personal time designing these panels.
Re: CMD Body Panels
Not that my opinion matters, but that sounds like a very reasonable price for a US made product with support from the manufacturer!

Re: CMD Body Panels
The dash side panels overlay the sides. So you have to remove that panel and then cut all the spotwelds that hold the side panel to the fender tops and floor. On average there's about one spotweld per inch. Tedious but not difficult compared to some of the other parts. If one had the proper tools, I'd guess around 6 - 8 hours to remove and prep for new panel install.

Guy, how is your personal project progressing?
Re: CMD Body Panels
8 hours?!!!! It took me several days just to get mine apart! And at that time I had to build my side panels form scratch.

Re: CMD Body Panels
Depends on how you are removing. If you are trying to save parts, much longer. If you are removing to replace, using sawzal, cut off wheels and spot weld cutters, it's much quicker.

Re: CMD Body Panels
Side panels. After that it's the cowl side panels and the funky gusset that ties the bottom of the dash to the cowl . That will finish the body work.

Re: CMD Body Panels
Rick, I remember well what you went through with the Florida panels, then deciding to make your own (under a self imposed deadline, if I remember correctly). Guy's price seems like a gift to the M151 community in comparison. Guy and CMD can take several "Atta-Boys" out of Petty Cash for their efforts.
