LOVE THE WILLYS! KILLER FIND!
Thanks, Clell, It's definitely a cool ride, it runs well, probably will rebuild the brake system. Just couldn't pass up the deal, I figure the winch set up is worth what I paid, may throw some 24087 paint on it. :D

NO! I know someone who has one that did that, professional paint job but just does not look right. Plus, yours is the same paint as mine was, I am partial to that color.  Brings back memories.

Not much happening, so I thought I would post a picture of my paint, finally got around to the paint on my QA50, another project finished. This is my present motorcycle project, 1971 Honda CT70, had a bad shifting fork also.

Getting serious now, even built a custom stand for the bike chassis.

It works well with all the Honda mini's, they sell them online for $150, made this one in 30 minutes with scrap, also made adapter where it will hold just the engine.

I will be picking up a barn find tomorrow. It runs and drives and has 4 wheels. No, It is not a military vehicle.

I'm guessing a Volkswagon or some kind of buggy.

Came across this fine example of what NOT to do when going with the distressed paint look. But HEY, that's just my opinion.

That's a cool wagon, seems to be in good shape, some people like the old patina, I would have to paint it, Rick must have forgot his starting fluid.

Ok,ok, Been busy with more Dr. appointments. Going to make some changes here on the forum, going to add in a new forum and get rid of one that is never used. It is obvious that there are some of us that like to look at things that are not always military so I am going to make a forum called "Curios and Relics". That will cover all of the stuff we add in here that is not military or even military but not M151 military. The "Oddball vehicles forum is going away and the few entries there will be added to the new forum. I will put some pics of my barn find here for now but all of this stuff in Favorite pics will be moved to the new forum. Favorite pics was originally intended for your pics of your M151 shots t parades and such.

So here is mine. I went to pick this up yesterday and it had to be the worst day so far this year for cold and wind, together! And this was literally on a farm, surrounded by fields so no hiding from the 25mph wind, and it was 28 degrees. Why do I mention this? Because I was running late when I left, Thank you wifey, and I forgot to throw my warm coat in the truck! I had a flannel shirt and a hoodie. I had smelled gas so I figured it had a gas line leaking, when I got home I opened the trailer and there was gas pooled on the floor!!!! Thankfully the plastic I had in there from the Gilbert show was still there and the gas was contained on that. Mad rush to get it out of there without staring it and still no coat since I was in fast mode now. Got it out and went inside to try to get feeling back in my extremities. The seller told me the tank was full and for some reason the gauge stopped working. Well, it was full right to the edge of the fill neck!!! And the hose between the tank and fill neck was not tight. At least the gas leak was an easy fix.
It is going to need some body work and I am going to pull the engine and probably put the engine from my other one in it. But, I paid less than half of what they generally bring in this condition so I have some wiggle room.

Seems to me with all those trees surrounding your living areas you would have no cold wind chills.Maybe no big snow drifts?

Eh, That would be incorrect! This was when I was still working and I had to head out to plow. The after pics were a day and a half later when I got home. My wife had already dug her car out. The last pic was after I got the loader out and dug in from the street.
