putting new clutch in

Unread post by Mark » August 2nd, 2019, 9:52 am

In installing a new clutch, Ok, this guy told me that quick, easy way is remove the transmission bolts from the bell housing, then remove the engine assembly.Leaving the transmission in the body. Seems to me it would the assembly of it would be more time consuming in the alignment of the transmission input shaft thru the clutch/pilot bearing.
Any body here ever done it this way?

Good luck with that one!!! Why wouldn't you just take the last few bolts and two driveshafts off and pull the whole powerpak and do it the right and easy way? I honestly do not think you would ever get the shaft lined up going back in that way.

Mark, remove the pack and take Mr. Know-It-All off your Christmas list. He's not doing you ANY favors with advice like that.
