I'm about to put this motor back together after getting the block, head, crank, and cam back from the machine shop. The retaining rings that hold the pin in the piston (PN 11598934), should I use new or can these be reused? I'm not having a lot of luck finding them.
Thanks
Ralph

Re: Engine Rebuild Question
You should be ok as long as they are not deformed and still retain a tight fit, make sure to put the gap up or down.

Re: Engine Rebuild Question
They are "Hen's Teeth" I lost 1 when I did my motor and ended up taking one out of a old block that lost a rod and punched a hole in the side. They do come with new piston's and pin kit.

Re: Engine Rebuild Question
Army Jeep Parts had them. I had to call as the website showed that part number as a pintle clip for $9,999.
