Emissions return to tank on Carb..

Unread post by wafinley » May 3rd, 2021, 11:13 am

I have just had my m151a2 carb rebuilt, but it came back with a plug instead of the brass elbow for the emissions return to the tank. Anyone know what size that elbow is?

Thanks in advance for the help - Bill

The correct fitting is the same as the fuel inlet fitting but on this one you can get away with a 90 degree 1/8" pipe thread fitting. That line is the vapor return line to the tank and is only there for the purpose of preventing vapor lock by allowing gas vapor in the line to return to the tank. You can run the carb without it with no issues. You have to make sure the carb is a 13660 otherwise you cannot run that vapor recovery line. The early 12848 carburetor is set up differently the fuel is routed differently through that fitting.
