Propellershaft Half and Yoke

Unread post by Andrew » May 19th, 2021, 9:25 am

Just seeing manual and relevant picture and I'm little wonder...

I need FRONT LEFT propellershaft half to exchange.
Which No. is correct? 11660459 or 11660458?
And which one is short and long?

Is YOKE, no. 11660453 universal for all 4 wheels, or is there
short / long version as well?

Thank you for your help.

All 4 wheel shafts are the same, the wheel shaft sleeve Item #7 is 11660453, the propeller shaft wheel drive #11 is 11660459, the u-joint item #3 is 5703383 this is listed as a kit with caps and C locking clips. Not sure where yo got the 11660458 number from?

Hi Dan,

the numbers come from manual TM 9-2320-218-34P, page and figure no. 75. There are both ...458 and ...459 for propeller shaft half.
I thought that different part number means different measure (short / long).

Thank you for your comment.

Andrew,
Part Number 11660458 INCLUDES the items 15 to 19.
Item 15 is for the splined shaft only (11660459).

When groups of items are supplied together as a kit, the kit has its own part number.
Ken
Kind regards....
Ken
