Exhaust pipe ?

Hi all!
Anyone know the approximate thickness of the exhaust pipe gaskets? it takes three of them. not the one at the header. I have some hi temp gasket material to make them . never saw new gaskets, I'm just guessing there not more than gaskets? thanks

Thanks for the tip Mr. Recovery! I'm not afraid to spend a buck but that is crazy high. after seeing a picture of them I'll have no problem making them. just bought batteries yesterday and other needed parts for my 151. wow, my credit card is getting warm to the touch from shoving it in those card slots.

I don't know, $4.50 each for something that once properly installed, shouldn't be an issue with in the future, prevents noise and exhaust fumes from coming into the passenger compartment.... sounds like an OK price for the item. Granted, a lot of the small things for the M151 are pricy, but this would be an easy choice, if not already sold.

I just cobbled up an issue with my exhaust leaking at the joint right after the crossover pipe before it meets the pre muffler pipe, right under the passenger seat floor. My old clamp was so bent up it never provided a good seal. Located an NOSS clamp in the parts bin and installed a new gasket and then wrapped the open seam with some muffler tape and then installed the new clamp and it's quite for now. The new gasket did have a metal insert in the center hole to do something around the male and female opening in the two pipes. That might explain the perceived high price.
And, while working on it noticed a lot of play in the whole system and found that when I installed my new rear floor, I never drilled the hole for the very rear tail pipe hanger. So did so and snug as a bug in a rug.

I also replaced my rear body panel and i don't remember the most rearward hanger that gets bolted to the rail? I cant find a hanger #12275132-2 anywhere so I'll make one . anyone have a picture of the location ? thanks

My 151 was down for almost two years. I took a couple hundred pictures before and during the rebuild and this got buy me somehow. thanks again

The hanger that Horst has looks original for sure and Marks hanger maybe ? but it looks good. mine will probably look like Marks because I don.t see me welding on my new rear body and burning up my new primer, paint and rust proofing .

Well, looking at mine I could have made it out of a steel brace for a crossarm(power line)?Which is about an inch wide.But looking at it I don't think so as it would be hard to bend the brace.

Mabe both are correct ? depending on the year of manufacture.

They were all the same, the original was welded to the body. Once they rusted off or got damaged they were replaced like Marks.
