This bracket was mounted on the bracket holding the mirror on my M151A2, previously a TOW Launcher. It sticks straight up in the air. The only thing I can think of is that it is designed to hold the antenna down. If you look at the vehicle photo closely, you can see it mounted on the mirror / hinge bracket.

Here is a better photo of the unknown bracket. I can't believe it is for holding down an antenna because that would seriously block entry and exit from the vehicle by the driver.

It may have been repurposed for holding the antennae but I think you will find it's original use was holding hard lines on the engine, Maybe not the 151 but I have seen those on trucks holding fuel lines.

That bracket is the antenna hold down for the M825 w/TOW or Recoilless rifle

I found the answer on another site. It is definitely for holding the antenna, but not a normal M151A2 antenna. This A2 was formerly a TOW launch vehicle, which has a shorter antenna mounted directly behind the drivers seat on the side and not on the rear corner. The bracket is definitely original for a TOW Launch A2.
