In the old days they had a metal cross arm brace for on the power lines, they could still be using them where you live at, you could use one as a support leg for the plate support.So go to the power company, ask them to give you one(they should have a lot from wreck out on the power lines.)Or go to menard's, fastenal to get the flat metal strip(1" wide) to make one.
