Well, Passed the HQC1 and HNQC night coarse so now need to submit all the BS paperwork to actually get the permit. Application in triplicate, notarized. 4 1 1/2" passport pictures. Fill out the mental health release statement. And get set up for a fingerprint session at a special center that does nothing but that. So this is what progress involves.
By the way, The Courses I had to take are same ones the police have to take. The HQC1 is 10 phases and 60 rounds and you need 80% to pass. I scored 94%. The Night coarse is 40 rounds and 5 phases, 70% required and I scored 98%. And yet the news outlets will tell you that people carrying guns are not qualified and are dangerous.
