M151A1 PM-2

Unread post by richard » February 6th, 2022, 6:54 pm

Hi Folks,

Very hard to decide which is the correct forum, M151 on parade, restoration projects or M151 mods? For a good example in preserving the history of this M151A1 and while the purpose is still known, I decided to open the new thread here.

Enjoy the video where I got the YT link from one of the guys who will bring it back to live:

That is a really nice vehicle there. Thanks Richard. And it was also nice to see that someone, for once, had the history correct all the way through on the M-151!
Good to see you posting again.

Looking Good Richard. These guys certainly seem to know their stuff on the 151's. Is this something you are part of or just know of?

Hi Rick,

I've been asked about assistance in finding and getting some parts for this project. Unfortunately no CMD body panels needed. The body is in an excellent condition.

That's ok, I is great to be included in a project like this. I love how he says " Unfortunately I am going to have to soften my statement" when he was talking about the rust underneath. He does realize just how clean that thing is I am sure, amazing.

Cool project, I could do without the polished metal but still a nice project with good metal to work with, wonder what they were using in the syringe for a rust inhibitor?

Very interesting, altogether. But also interesting that the grill in chrome was intentional! The whoe thing is cool.

As for all the chrome, it is /was the Berlin Brigade's 1985 M151A1 Parade Jeep not to be out done by the jeeps before it. :D
