I have a great trailer for sale. I have listed this on Craigslist(Boston Mass) for $1600. This is one of the best trailer I have ever had in my garage, it has never been outside in the rain always stored inside when not in use . All Original, very straight. Not restored but refreshed. Lights work. No rust at all, it has a fresh coat of correct OD paint. Hand brake, reflectors, safety chains in place. Tows perfectly behind a jeep, small car or pick up truck, can be towed at 65mph. I have new stencils included at no cost if you want to install. I will include a spare tire.
Sold with Bill of Sale as titles are not issued for trailer less that 3500 pounds.

Thank you for the comment. I have a interested party who wants to pay by Paypal. Delivery would not be for a few weeks. How can I be sure that the system works and that paypal will not try to retrieve the money later? I normally deal in cash on the spot when I exchange goods for cash.

I wouldn't use paypal, credit card is not applicable?

You could send him a Paypal Invoice which he can pay with his Paypal balance or any credit card. List the trailer as the item in the Invoice description field. List other details like storage times and expected pick up date in the Terms of Sale Field as well as a statement that "All Sales are Final". Once he pays you, you have indisputable evidence that he agreed to the purchase on your terms. DO NOT accept payment under the "Friends and Family" heading. There will be no documented trail of anything purchased for the money transfer.

You will loose about 3.5% on the Paypal transaction. You could add that in so the buyer covers it, but clearly state that "The buyer accepts the 3.5% additional charge to cover Paypal fees" in the Terms of Sale.

Alternately, you can Invoice him for a couple hundred dollar non- refundable down payment, with terms of Balance Due in Cash, at Pick Up, within such and such date range.

Wow, That is eye opening!! I have been using Paypal for years and with the friends and family option. Guess I need to revisit that huh?

If the sender selects the "the friends and family option". Then this should not effect/ or make Pay-pal any extra money. It has been 6 months since I have done this, and you know they work 24/7 to make money anyway they can. Where is the omg for 2 cents here ?
