Again, I will post pictures of trailer once painted, new decals installed, proper data plates installed. Will take some time. Still rehabbing the new knee.

Ok, I am a little confused. Are you saying you have the trailer that once belonged to Mr,. Dibbles? If so he is still a member here although he seldom visits. I can get hold of him and he would probably get a kick out of knowing his trailer is still around. It is in a lot rougher shape than when he had it though, everything Matt had was beyond any condition it could have been when it came out of the factory!

Yes I do have a trailer that at one time belonged to Mr Dibbles. When you compare the pictures from 2008 and pictures from McGregor,TX Founders Day car show, 2019 .....appearance has improved with time and “tender loving care”.

Well here we are a month farther into “stay at home”. With this opportunity I was able to get my M416 trailer to paint shop for some #24087. Also new set of decals with what I believe is the proper vehicle ID numbers. I have made this vehicle along with my M151A1 time period presentations. A time period of my military career.

Hello rickf, recently you asked if this trailer belonged to Mr. Dibbles. I believe it did. I would like to PM him if possible to
get his story on the trailer. Just interested in it’s history.
Thanks

I sent him an e-mail through the site here back when you mentioned that and I got no reply but I will link you to his info and you can pm and e-mail him through the site here. I have no idea if he still gets notifications or not. Actually if you go back through his posts you may find some history on the trailer there.

Good evening Ken (muttguru). After more thinking and research I have came to a conclusion on the identity of my M416 trailer.
It is a CEMSCO. Date of manufacture 8-67. Now for my evidence. Some of following photos I have posted previously but here goes.
2A41737E-E185-4B12-A8A4-F4954ECB0F3A.jpeg
This is the non-factory data plate that was installed on trailer when I purchased it. ID No. 3423. Delivery date 8 67
When I purchased it, Bill of Sale was for a 1967 Johnson Furnance. Vehicle No. - 2D 3248. Turned out this was all incorrect.

Above picture is of non-factory data plate that was installed when owner “Mr.Dibbles” was posting pictures with “Moose”
When picture is enlarged you can see it is same non-factory data plate in first photo of this post.

The above three pictures came from this forum. “Mr.Dibbles” comments can be read on the photos.
Not finished more to follow.

Part 2–
The dog tag with Vehicle No 6P 8062 is still attached to chain as you can see in following photo.
3F87AF5B-A8F1-421D-87BD-A1B0B8E60E30.jpeg
The following two pictures I know I sent previously. We discussed why the over stamp of ID No. 3427 Delivery Date 8 67
The Vehicle ID number in bottom picture is 6P 8066 painted inside the tongue. Need to enlarge to see. Both Vehicle ID number and manufacture ID are four digits apart on these two trailers.

5369D434-A0F7-440E-A72C-047BAB2D9383.jpeg
I have convinced myself, with dog tag physical evidence, non-factory stamped data plate, and photos of other trailer (3427) my trailer is truly a CEMSCO M416, ID No 3423, Vehicle No 6P 8062, date of manufacture 67 with delivery date of 8 67.

As always, am looking forward to your subject knowledge of my evidence.

Stay safe and healthy. Remember...enjoy the moment.
Kind regards,
Les

To update story on data plate for my M416 trailer. Got this plate made same time as new data plate for the M151A1.
After lots of help, advise, comments, and research.....this is the result. So....I’m ready for comments. Getting installed in day or so with solid roundhead rivets from local ACE hardware store.

My jig for stamping the plates.

I used an old license plate to practice stamping. Took several tries until I was satisfied with stamping.
