Enclosed Jeep Hauler
I bought this trailer seven years ago originally to haul a jeep. Still works for that but I can't tell you how many OTHER times I've used it for general hauling over the years. The inside of the box is 7 ft. wide and 14 ft. long, just the right size for me. Can be used as a jeep garage too!

The trailer was $4,400 new in the year 2000. The basic trailer costs less but the options for this one were the rear door ramp (as opposed to double hung doors that would have required movable ramps in order to load a vehicle), a side door (not shown) and a roof vent. I was living in the Washington, DC suburbs back then and driving the jeep on some of those major highways would have been crazy. In addition to hauling either of my jeeps, the trailer comes in really handy for moving just about everything else too. (furniture, appliances, landscaping supplies, jeep rotisserie with tub installed, garden tractor & attachments, the list goes on) I had no idea when I bought it that I'd be using it so much. The bottom line: the trailer paid for itself when considering shipping costs I've saved for the stuff I've hauled over the years.......

I've got a 8 X 12 that I use for hauling the M151. I had to put electric brakes on my truck. Funny how the trailer pushes the truck when you try to stop. Until this past week, it was also used to store the jeep. My wife let me build a 24 X 30 garage. Now I can work inside out of the weather.

What size truck are you using to haul these trailers? Gas or diesel?
I have a Dodge Dakota and I doubt it has the guts for a long haul with such a trailer. Looking for the optimum balance between truck and costs.

I started with a 97 Ford F150 pickup with the 4.6L V8 engine. The truck was rated to pull a 6,000 lb. load and since the trailer with A2 loaded topped out at less than 5,000 lbs., I never had any problems traveling anywhere with it. I upgraded the truck in 2002 with a Ford F250 Crew Cab with 7.3 L. diesel (to pull a larger RV trailer) that is rated to pull just under 13,000 lbs. and now it's easy to forget that you're pulling a trailer and jeep if you don't check your mirrors often to remind you that the rig is attached. At any rate, I would recommend nothing smaller than a full size pickup as a tow vehicle.
