AN/ PRS-4 Land Mine Detector Set

Unread post by Cobra5 » January 12th, 2010, 11:07 pm

Any of you combat vets know anything about these? I found one on craigslist and thought it would be a nice add to the collection. I know nothing about these and the guy is selling it for 150 bucks.

Cobra I think $150 sounds reasonable and if you're willing to pay it then it sounds priced right. It's not like you can go to Amazon.com and price shop an item like that. Supply and Demand + Rarity = $150. Of course I'd offer him some number less and hope he takes $135. Think about it this way... Uncle Sam probably paid $7,000 for that rig... you getting it for $150 is pretty much free.

Not something you come across everyday and thought it would be different for display purposes.

At $150, go for it, as you say you don't see this everyday and it would be a nice addition to a display. :!: A year from now you will likely see one going for twice that :!: :!:

Cobra 5,
I bought one for $75. I use it for my displays and also as the lead man in parades with a full squad then my mutt in parades. Now i say a full squad, Not the normal 14 as stated in the regs. Just 8. Geez i think thats still heavy for Vietnam. There is a battery make up kit to get yours running. From what i found they didnt demil them.
