If you have the original rear mounts you could drill (4) holes in the top. Cut rear cage bottom and plate for sitting on top of rear fender. Bolt together with fender top sandwiched between. This way you're supporting the rear cage and you wouldn't have to cut out the fender tops for the cage. I would not take short cuts when it comes to the roll cage by not supporting the rear. Below is a cut A2 rear that had the cage supports. I think that the support shown is for the other side but I thought I'd share the pics.

I agree 100%. When I was looking for a 151 I wanted one with a cage. I was sent these pictures when it happened. Scary...
