Does it have a vacuum advance? If so maybe M38? Although they were also 24 volt. I can't remember any M series at 12 volt. The WWII vehicles were 6 volt.

Re: 12 v distributor ID
The body is identical to that of a 151 that is waterproof, the shaft is similar to a 151. An m38 has a long shaft like an mb/gpw. So definitly not m38 or cj, definitely military.
Re: 12 v distributor ID
I have a thread on here about one I got, had to buy the whole motor to get it. there are pics and I still have it out back and I can get more pics if needed. I am pretty sure it is 12 volt but will have to revisit it. Going to be real busy the next couple days "fixing" a job I hired a contractor to do before it rains. If you want something done right the only way to do it is to do it yourself!!!!! I hired someone because I am not really able to do this work anymore but I ended up telling this guy how to do the job from start to finish once I saw him put the bottom wall plate in on an angle and then tried to make the door fit. This was after putting me off for a month and it is now 16 degrees out. And this is not just a door it is the entire garage door/wall conversion someone had done in the 70's. Did I mention it is where all my water pipes are?
