Unfortunately it does not show setting up the pinion depth. I will have to add that in using one I just took apart.

In Armybucks thread he shows a rebuild but does not disassemble the carrier so I wanted to show a few pics of the entire unit disassembled. This has got to be one of the simplest differentials I have ever worked on. Lets see how many of you see the problem with this diff.

This is just an addendum, the original post is stickied up top. There is really nothing much to do to set pinion depth in these, there is one shim and I haven't seen any other options for changing that.

Rick, looks like a couple bearings and races could help. Especially if they were submerged in water for a long time.

I bought a new one from blake 3 or 4 years ago and it was worse than the one I took out...I heard red river was no longer in business is that true??

Nobody saw it, This diff came out of the crushed mutt I have. When they crushed it they really crushed it!
