Apparently it was some older guy who claimed to know these trucks and he was allowed to start it. But batteries were already low. How he could overlooked switching it off again is a mystery to me as the low pressure warning horn will sound all the time. Nice 400USD move if him

When you say "apparently he was allowed to start it" that kind of sounds like you knew nothing about it. In that case he owes you for the batteries, or the person that gave permission does. If it is stored outside I would suggest you get a 24 volt Solargizer for it and if indoors get a Battery Tender. That way nobody has to start it or touch it unless it is an emergency and then it will start. Personally if it were mine and I was storing it out of country I would disable the fuel pump and starter circuit with hidden switches on a dedicated circuit each.

The M49 is not mine. I’m just the only one who moves it around once in a while.
And yes on the solargizer. I had them on my M35A2c. Guess if we buy new batteries I will check if they are still available

Still available but updated and pricey. Better than buying new batteries every year though.

Oh, for the good old days, when they were pricey at $75. I managed to get one on Ebay last year for less than $75.

I've been getting a little airtime in the new plane, my son loves it, 31000ft in 18 minutes, doesn't take long to get where you're going.
