Fair Radio Sales closing

Unread post by FoxMike » May 17th, 2024, 7:15 am

As some of you know Fair Radio Sales in Ohio is closing. Originally they said last year I believe. Their website now has end of June for the closing and middle of August for an inventory auction.

Sounds like a Facebook reply. That reply would not wash here. What these people do not realize is the flow of surplus vehicles is not what it used to be. With Richie Bros. taking over the auctions there are NO good deals anymore. And once the HMMVW's are bone there will be no more small roadable vehicles for sale. If you even consider a Hummer a roadable vehicle. They are huge, heavy, drink fuel in huge amounts and are NOWHERE near as tough as they look or what the military was told they would be. And you need to wear earplugs to drive them.
Millennials have no sense of history when it comes to antique vehicles so they are not getting into the supply business, not only that, the NOS supplies are drying up and nobody but China wants to make replacements. We all know the quality problems there.
