Wall Patrol, West Berlin

Saw this clip on YouTube recently. 2 M151s on ‘mauer patrol’ in West Berlin, 1981.
Jeeps start at 4:27. A few interesting things to me. A BDU pattern helmet cover, must have been very new as they were introduced that year. Chains on the jerry can and also the tops painted red.

Very interesting - thanks for sharing. I visited East Berlin in 1971 while in the Army on leave. Went on the troop train to Berlin. I went through Checkpoint Charlie and spent two days in East Berlin. East German soldiers were riding around the wall on motor scooters. One guy driving and the other behind him sitting backwards with a machine gun. Back then it was a horrible place. I've been in the former East Germany many times since then after the wall came down, on business. Much nicer place now.
