Nice, It has been a long time since we have seen an updated parts list from you. Where are you at as far as different panel production?

Re: CMD Body Panels
I have asked this before. Looking at all the cool parts made by Guy, I wonder how much parts are not done yet for a full body...

Re: CMD Body Panels
That is why I was looking for an updated list.
Remember that crushed mutt I had? well, look at that latest one HTN has. Would you believe they are the same vehicle? Yup, That is where Crusher and Rustbucket went. He tells me he is going to do the same job with Rustbucket. And that is using a lot of Guys panels.

Re: CMD Body Panels
We recently made tooling to match the tapered radius on the front fenders. The first version was not correct as I didn't realize the radius had a taper. They are now correct.
The radius starts at .75" at the front corner and necks down to just under .25" where the side panel overlays.

Re: CMD Body Panels
I have not done anything with the spring pocket yet. I'll post a parts list after the new year.

Re: CMD Body Panels
a little sandblasting and some more practice with the welder would have been some good investment, don't you think

Re: CMD Body Panels
Keep in mind that you cannot weld to rusty metal. Even if you clean it on top there will be nothing for the weld to get hold of.
What are you using for a welder?

Re: CMD Body Panels
Appreciate the input,
As an amateur i have learned the hard way about the rust. There are just some locations on the unibody , especially where the braised cross cut rewelds meet the orginal frame where the rust has just eaten it away to nothing (maybe a dialectic reaction but who knows why) . I was hoping to get new spring pockets from Guy , but as he has stated, he just hasn't gotten there yet. Also, if you remember you and i had a PM about this when i was trying to get them from Denmark too, no luck .
What i have had to do is basically create structural bridges/ infils from solid metal over the rusted areas which i cut out, to solid metal on the other side , i just could not do that for the spring pockets themselves.
I have a Lincoln Electric 90i Mig Welder (using CO2/Argon mix) and a old fashion stick welder for the thick stuff when needed .
Any other suggestions are more than welcome.

Re: CMD Body Panels
One thing I've learned about 110v welders, they don't like long extension cords, use shortest one you can get by with and at least 12ga.
