Hey Guys-
Thanks for the compliments! This M60 replica was made by Joe Scheaffer. He did a great job and he's a super guy! Here's a link to his website.

http://www.hardscrabblefarm.com/vn/replica-weapons.html

I think for what you pay for these, replicas I mean, there is just no inexpensive solution. The government pays roughly $5,000 for a fully operational and fully automatic brand new unit. We as civilians would pay roughly $30,000 for that same weapon used, cobbles together from different manufacturers, and tired.

However Joe's work is a nice balance between the extremely expensive replicas (where mostly original parts are used) and the relatively cheap plastic/resin replicas (where they are 100% plastic). From 3-5 feet this looks REAL good! I recommend his work but wish it at least had a bottle opener on it. Then not only would it draw attention and look sharp but it would also be a tool I could use
Regards,
Matt-

spend some more

buy a trunion and a rail set (less than 1k) and you can have a functioning semi. FYI,just because you see m60's on the i-net for 30k doesnt mean that is what you have to pay. I bought a new Maremont F/A for $5k not long ago, "Cobbled together" by THE supplier to US military, before they sold out to USORD. There are ALOT of mg owners that bought these guns in the 70's and 80's when NIB Maremonts were trading for $1750.

Nice job....Still think for a recon jeep it's too pretty...needs some dirt and some brush paint for touch up.... :)

Actually I'm just jellous because my M151a1 looks like it just came out of 20 years in the field...lol.

You didn't opt for the propane firing m60?
There is one nut on a M151 that is very difficult to remove.....
