Oh the hard luck stories I've gotten over the years from folks stuck in foreign countries less passports or money or WHATEVER! We've all gotten them and I never open the emails but sometimes have checked them through the "back-door". Some of my most recent favorites claim to be from the FBI. Once I met a girl in a bar and I remembered her name. Two days later I get an email from a girl with the same name. It caught me off guard and I opened it. It wasn't her and nothing more than an invitation to go somewhere online in the vaccume of internet oblivion for what purpose who knows who cares. Never let down your guard and never reply. I learnt a valuable time saver years ago when you open your incoming mail folder: the first thing you do is check 'ALL MESSAGES, then with one finger press down on 'Ctrl-button. Then scan down the list with your eyes as fast as you can, with your mouse 'Unchecking boxes you recognize, ignoring ones that you're not sure about, and finally select to delete all checked boxes. It's quick, it's easy, out of sight out of mind.
The assertion:
"There's a LOT to be said for astrology". In ancient times the science, common belief the earth was flat. A lunar eclipse, the gods were angry. The constellations connected to ones personality or traits, and a full moon controlled the minds of men. I look to the stars for inspiration not guidance. *1977-M151A2W/ROPS ~ sandman

Well, I thought this was resolved after spending too much time on the phone with AOL tech support (or lack of).
It seems that some of my emails are being forwarded to somewhere else. My guess is to the scammer who is using a similar email (odclloth). Notice the double "L" in cloth.
As these tech support people don't get it, and now want to do an investigation, my report isn't good enough for them to look into the activities of this similar email account.
They have asked for proof of the alleged scam in the way of a report to abuse@aol.com of the original scam email.
If any of you still have the scam email, please forward it to abuse@aol.com. If you can find it in your deleted mail folder, please do the same.
It seems like they need to get hit on the head with a BFH.
If you need to contact me, PMs work or dave@*nospam*odcloth.com remove the *nospam*
