New purchase 6-1967 M416
Picked it up a few days ago from a friend. Have 375 including shipping about 300 miles. Has some small pin holes in front part of floor. Going to do a good wire brush cleaning of the floor and "rhino-line" the floor and the bottom sides up to the angled part (plan on using the trailer to haul items). I'm also converting to M416B1 to tow behind my mite.

Something just does not look right with the front frame/drawbar, aside from the ball hitch. Are the frame rails reversed? It has been a while since I looked at mine but I thought the open channel was on the inside. Maybe I need to get back to work on mine so I would be more familiar with it!

Rick, I think everything is correct with the frame. Here is mine:
The landing leg of Austringer's trailer is also a little bit different. Perhaps this confused you beside of the ball hitch?

Re: New purchase 6-1967 M416
Part of the restoration budget will go towards replacing what's missing. Wire harness, pigtail, tail lights, and lunette are costs that drive up the expense. Been some 416 harnesses on ebay recently for $25, that's a great price. Brake cable can also hit you for another $75 if you need to replace it and $100 plus for a good canvas cover. If your like me, yolu'll drive the cost of that trailer over $1000 in no time.

I know as well.....I found one a couple of years ago for $1100. fully restored....then I thought...I can buy one for $400., and do all the work and before I knew it....the price for parts, paint, tires, etc. almost reached that $1100. amount. But I did have the experience of doing it myself...priceless ! Seabee

Re: New purchase 6-1967 M416
Mine ended up costing much more than buying an already restored trailer but that was assuming I could find one in my part of the country, which I couldn't. I also have the privilege of declaring, I did that and needed the practice for my jeep tear-down.
