Hot Rod Nite (AGAIN!) Boerne, Texas
I took both the M109A3 and the M151A2 down to the car show. Got down there early with the 6x6 as they were closing the street for the show, so as to get a good spot that would make getting out of there easy. It's a BIG truck and everybody likes the military vehicles.
THIS TIME, I made sure to get some pics for you guys!
Still cruisin'
This Falcon was perfect in every way!
And a sleeper!
The gold paint on this was a mile deep!
Slammed! Right down in the weeds. And elegant simplicity.
A thing of beauty!
Old school. SO cool!
Trophy magnet!
Our host and organizer's truck. Owner of Soda Pops, The Sugar Shack, and the Hot Rod Garage.
This Vette was PERFECTO!
Another stellar Vette..
Paint is optional..

Bunch of nice rides, the Toronado would fit right in, maybe in a couple years.

My Mutt is well hidden, on the driver's side of the M109A3. Between trying to get pics for y'all, getting a closer look at some of the really fantastic cars, holding conversations with the owners and answering questions about the 6x6 I simply ran out of light so the MUTT went without a single photo.
The real standout last night was the Vette that was the mint green color (I think it's more properly called Glen Green). Oddly, it was parked off to the side and obstructed from view by the black 57 Chevy. It was immaculate and I suspect it was pretty much all original. What I call a "time machine" car.
Had a real long conversation with a fellow who was totally inspired by my having brought two former military vehicles to the scene. He definitely wants in (another should lost to rock-n-roll! ) Being the honest fellow that I am, I tried to steer him away from 6x6s because they really aren't practical. Doing anything with the M109 is just a logistical pain in the you-know-what, whereas I can hop in the MUTT just like any other car. I suggested he get a HUMMER if he was going to buy from the government. It will be interesting to see if he's all in....or not.
Cheers,
TJ

There are some very fine cars/trucks in your town/area, I like the Magenta Metro and I love the 66 Dodge Charger, over the years I have enjoyed 2 1966 and 1 1967 Chargers, wish I had one now.
Thanks for the old mermories!

Yes, and it is an expensive taste with the extra charge for a custom license plate.

Hot rods are a very expensive taste, custom plates or not. Even the modern one I have now can get pricey if you are not careful.
