Posting pictures in the site

Unread post by rickf » May 18th, 2020, 8:04 pm

Posting pictures on the site can now be done direct from your computer.

When you are post to a thread make sure you are in the full editor version ( choice is at the bottom of the white box). In a new post you are there already. At the bottom left you will see at the bottom tabs for options, attachments, poll creation. Pick the attachments tab. Then below that you will see "add files" and click on that. A box comes up that shows where on your computer you want to get the file from and when you choose the file it will take a little bit to load and then you want to click "insert inline" and your pic is in the thread.

That was a 95 or 96 IH Cab over with twin bunks, this is what CRST put new team drivers in after they drove 25,000 miles with a Lead Driver/Trainer after 4 weeks of driving school. I loved that job!! Did a lot of runs from the glass recycling place in NJ out to Denver then to LA. This was the last Company I drove over the road for.

Just testing....... Rick....where are the pictures actually stored? If it is somewhere on the www.g838.org site, is there sufficient memory space to host all the photos that folks post? Just wondering...... :D

Ken, They are stored on the site but not in a file like a gallery that can be easily accessed. I will be working on the gallery in the future. From what I can tell memory is not going to be an issue. The hosts are not the easiest people to work with. They are damn near impossible to work with actually but I am finding out things as I go.I would ask that people use common sense and do not use the 838 as a place to store your entire file of pictures. Remember, it only takes one to ruin it for everybody.

Looks like it has been stored on the Titanic. Nice pic, though.
