There was a thread recently about VIN plates and it garnered some rather interesting feedback. One of those did not even come from the site. I am not going to get into specifics but I will tell you this, There will be no more talk of fake plates, selling of VINS, Transferring of data plates in any way shape or form. If you want to talk to other members about that stuff do it by way of PM or e-mail. I do not want to know anything about it. I especially do not want this site to be known for being the place to go to to get info on stolen VINS or a place to find them.
If you want to ask where to find your VIN or if you want to ask Ken or anyone else a question on what the numbers mean, where they go or anything like that it is fine. As long as the discussion revolves around that vehicle and it's numbers. You can talk about data plates all you want as long as the discussion does not include transferring them. And before anyone even goes there, I know a data plate is NOT the VIN for the vehicle BUT! In most states it IS considered as such and the vehicle is registered based on that plate.

You are right there George, I know that very well after that thread I locked. I am going to close this thread since it was not really meant to be a discussion thread, just more of an information thread.
