WTB Spark plugs
Looking for a set of spark plugs for my M151a2. The ones that are in it are Autolite 2243. I am not sure what ones are correct. Thanks again
Re: WTB Spark plugs
Autolite-2245 is, the Autolite-2243 has a different heat range, I am not sure if that's the right explanation the moderator can delete it at will.

Re: WTB Spark plugs
2245's are the correct plugs but unless you are ready to shell out 25.00 a plug you can probably get by with the 2243's. They are one step colder plug but unless you have issues with them fouling they will work. Personally I am going to buy a set of adapters from Midwest Military. They are not cheap but for not much more than the price of one set of plugs I now will have a set of adapters that I can run standard plugs in that cost 4-5 dollars a plug.

Re: WTB Spark plugs
Rick, if using the adapters, what make/model plug would be recommended?

Re: WTB Spark plugs
I am not sure, it was posted somewhere at one time but it is a standard plug. Kohn Bizal from Midwest could probably tell you. I am guessing you would have to start there and then after driving a while you would have to read the plugs and possibly go up or down on heat if needed.

Here's a less expensive adaptor on e-bay. people on Facebook 151 forums are using them with very good results .

On Facebook 151 forums they are using the NGK BR6S in the adaptors.

I asked John Bizal and this is the plug he told me they use. I do not remember this as being the one I saw before though, I will keep researching this.

Re: WTB Spark plugs
Rick not sure, did not see that, maybe were at that time. But for that much savings its worth calling and seeing how long before the ship outside of LA is going to get berthing space, unless one needs them now.

Re: WTB Spark plugs
Just checked around on my friend the internet, seems they are out of stock except for the gougers asking 35-40 per so Rick is correct. Glad I bought spears years ago. It will settle down in awhile. As an importer from Asia I can tell you the system are upside down from one end to the other. Keep looking, and unless you need to have it now prices will come down, maybe not where were but better than now.

The problem is that they have not made them in years and there is not enough demand to start making them again. Even for the Chinese.
