Modified MT-1898 Mount

I have an MT-1898 mount that I intend to use with an R-442 radio. There is a small label on the side of the MT-1898 mount that indicates that it has been modified to supply 24 VDC to Pin C on receptacle J-12 for operation with TSEC/KY-57. A photo is attached. Do I need to modified this MT-1898 for use with an R-442 radio by removing the 24 VDC to Pin C or is it OK to use as currently configured?
