Re: Diesel conversion anyone?
Thanks for the gestures.
I've been more of a silent observer since Mutt less at the moment. Lately been Monkeying about with those Japanese 4 wheeler Mitsubishis.
They seem to be just as bad as the german ones. Fix one problem and another two pop up. Lol.

Re: Diesel conversion anyone?
He gets more power from making it lighter. No hood, seats. Windshield is just wind resistance and headlights are extra weight, only drive in daylight.

Re: Diesel conversion anyone?
hi
rickf i am also tall enough to sit at the LPG tank at the rear
the picture is from the restoration time
baios for years ago we had this item bevore
in holland we take from several brands parts to get a complete kit special for the car it must go in
switch AEB 722 italy
tank GZWM 53,5l 600x230x52 poland
vaporizer OMVL/ R90/E italy
mixer size outsite diam carb
for the rest it are parts the supplier make a kit of it
i do not know if the set is cheaper in holland or greece
look first around in greece
the tank is heavy for transport
if there is LPG at greece there are also workshops to put it in

Re: Diesel conversion anyone?
I would love to do that conversion but I believe that the only tanks allowed in the US are the round tanks and finding room would be a problem. It could be put in the back in place of the rear seat but there would be no room for the seat. Plus over here filling up is not as easy as pulling into a station, you have to find a RV place or a propane refill station. Not all that easy to find while traveling.

Re: Diesel conversion anyone?
That would be about the right size but the tank is different.

Re: Diesel conversion anyone?
That size cylinder would hold about 15kgs (roughly 8 USG) of LPG.
Lpg has a very unique price cycle over the year for us. Last year in the Winter it went up to $1.20 per kg and in the summer to $0.55 per kilo.
A tank full of 15 kilos of lpg will drive for roughly 100miles. That is if you are running a mechanical venturi setup.
With the EFI injector kit, you would be getting 150 miles top out of that thing, given it is tuned properly.

Re: Diesel conversion anyone?
Good info, that would make it pretty impractical here.
