Great pictures, looks a bit chilly. I see at least one of the group was semi-dry and partly warm.

Not shown but first time ever since I have the M151 I installed the top. Fortunately I was able to remove it a day later again.

Day 1 - From Susa, Italy to Briancon, France
Ready for the tour at the B&B in Gravere
Horst showing the correct position of the jerry can
Ready to enter the Asietta pass
Unfortunately the first day of our trip started with rain and was cold up there. Also not even the best weather condition for making photos as in 2013.

Day 3 - From Elva, Italy to Festiona, Italy (Bivouac)
Italian gas station with two pumps
Here we had our lunch picnic
Waterfall, it is raining again
Snoopy, always with a big smile
As announced by the lady at the B&B in Elva, the rain stopped in the early afternoon and we found a dry and sunny place for our bivouac near this place in the mountains

Re: Tour des Alpes, Edition 2015
Day 4 - From Festiona, Italy to the Edelweiss Hotel in Limone Piemonte, Italy (next to the French border)
Surprise, surprise. We were not allowed to use a trail so we had to choose the public road. An Italian lady passed, stopped and invited us. Her husband is the vice president of the Italian military vehicle preservation association. So we visited his living museum and got a wonderful Italian menu at their family owned restaurant with traditional Italian food.
On the trail again
And the target of the day was Vernante, Italy where the tale of Pinocchio was written. Thanks to mwmutt, sitting in front of the monument, for this very nice stopover.

Day 5 - From Limone Pemonte, Italy to St. Dalmas de Tende, France
At Fort Central, clouds and fog
A few minutes later no more clouds - sun
Fort Central from another perspective
Just another nice place for a picnic

Day 6 - From St. Dalmas de Tende, France to Susa, Italy
The last day of our tour starts with sun and a beautiful mountain view
At the (only) toll station for our last trail
And a final view on Fort Central. In two days we are back at this monument.
Good bye for 2015
The Asietta road fromk day 1 - today without clouds and rain
That was the 2015 tour. Perhaps we'll see each other again in 2017?

Re: Tour des Alpes, Edition 2015
Absolutely beautiful. Someday before I die I would love to be able to come over and visit that region. Unfortunately I am retiring in less than two months and the pension I will be getting will barely be enough to keep us going let alone allow travel. I will just have to be content to live it through your pictures and videos. Thanks for the sights and sounds.
