Re: Generic jeep
Don't worry, it won't be long and I will remove this imposter.
Re: Generic jeep
I don't see anyone worried about it. Is that the rear end of an old Honda 90 in the bottom left of the picture?

Re: Generic jeep
That is a 1964 C105T (trail 55) with early push rod engine, picked it up in Colorado couple yrs. ago, if you notice the rear sprocket is bolted to a smaller sprocket, that's how you changed the gear ratio, I also have 73 CT90 and 86 CT110, they are just dust collectors.rickf wrote:I don't see anyone worried about it. Re: Generic jeep
Got the engine degreased, powerwashed and painted.
Still have to build tailgate with spare tire holder, install engine, wiring harness, exhaust, fuel lines, brake/clutch assembly, the list never ends.

Re: Generic jeep
Thought I would share another photo, hopefully I'm only a couple weeks away You have to love this hobby, never progress as fast as I hope to.
It's come a long way since I started 2 yrs ago, time passes before you realize, hope the next project isn't this time consuming, maybe I'm not moving as fast as I have in the past.

Re: Generic jeep
Thanks Randy, only sad thing is, if it was the real deal, it would be worth twice as much, don't think I would do another one, too much work for the reward.halftracknut wrote:Wow, It looks like new...great job.....another one saved....

Now you can work on one of the thirty five real ones you have scrounged up since you got that one.

Re: Generic jeep
After looking through some of the aftermarket bodies, I found a couple pics of this one, yet another body design, looks like a wide body.
Re: Generic jeep
Interesting. I haven't seen a wide-body version of the M151 before. The windshield serves as a great comparison feature. Overall it looks like a decent vehicle based on the two photos. Still not as wide as an M998!

Re: Generic jeep
Someone put some thought into that kit. Nifty little guards on the composite lights up front, door insets, wider fenders and yet, they went with that uninteresting vertical line at the leading edge of the door opening when it would have been just as easy to make a proper cut-out.
Cheers,
TJ

Re: Generic jeep
Never posted pics of finished product, still need to put my new wipers on but this one is done and done. Stay tuned for my next project.
Re: Generic jeep
Looks good, I would never be able to get my feet in that squared off door opening, I have enough trouble when I have the doors on mine and I think they are a bit forward of that.
